TechQuest Implementation

The following podcast outlines the highlights and difficulties of implementing my TechQuest project in my classroom.

  1. I LOVED the fact that your students were so engaged and taking ownership in locating and summarizing the readings on the topics that were assigned to them. I think your strategy of sticking with two technologies is a good one. If you have a tech savvy class, you can always add the third piece into the mix. Sounds like you are ready to implement this when school starts in the fall.

  2. Hi Lindsay,

I tried again and couldn't find how to leave a comment on your podcast of your implementation, so I decided to leave a comment here! First, I am gathering that you actually got to implement your TechQuest. Am I right? If not, you did a good job of making it sound like you did! I think it was smart for your implementation plan to only introduce two new tools instead of three, especially since it not only would have been one more tool for your students to learn, but also for the other teachers you were coaching. I also like your idea of introducing the blog next time in a previous trimester so students are already used to it when you want to use it for commenting on this project. I really think your TechQuest idea is brilliant, as far as making the research authentic and something that the students will really get into. Sounds like they were! I am wondering which social bookmarking site they used. Sounds like your project went well for the first time through, and that you have a plan to smooth out the bumps! Nice work! (I do think your podcast cut off a little early, so I don't think I got to hear the full implementation. Do you agree?)
